Support for Families Navigating the Special Education System

Whether you are new to the Special Education system or not, it is always important to know your rights and seek out help when navigating the system. This sometimes means working with an attorney to make sure that your child’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP) is well written and meets the needs of your child. Too many times I see families who don’t fight for the rights of their children not because they don’t care but because they don’t realize that more could and should be done by the schools.
Below is a link for the Crosswalk Street, LLC Special Education Services. They are one of many agencies who provide support and advocacy resources for families of children with special needs in the Eastside region of Seattle, Washington. I urge all families to consult with an attorney to ensure that the program and services provided to your child fully meet their needs.
