How Was the First Day of School?

For many of you the school year has already started, and for some tomorrow will be the first day. For this question of the week I want to do something a little different. I want everyone to share something special that happened over the summer or at the beginning of the school year. Summers can be a little crazy for families, maybe even more for families of children with a disability, but it’s important to remember the special or exciting things that happened. These memories can carry us through the toughest times and keep us going.
So on that note, What is one (or more) special thing that happened over the summer or at the beginning of the school year for your child with autism?
