How to Plan a Behavioral Intervention

This ABA Training Class is recommended for all parents and habilitation therapists helping children with autism. The workshop provides tools and assistance for participants to develop a behavior intervention plan to improve challenging behaviors.

What topics are covered in the class?

How to Plan a Behavioral Intervention:
This is a workshop on how to gather relevant information and strategically address problem behaviors using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. Participants will have the opportunity to analyze fictional and actual scenarios then collaboratively come up with a comprehensive plan to reduce and replace specific problem behaviors. Some of the concepts included in behavioral intervention plans are:

  • Target Behavior Class
  • Topography of Behavior
  • High Likelihood Conditions
  • Frequency and Duration of Behavior
  • Functionally Equivalent Behaviors
  • Ecological Supports
  • Related Skill Acquisition

How much does this class cost?

This class is free for employees and client families of AZA United. The cost for all others to attend is $50.
